Ahh yes, it's that special time of year when we get to express our affinity for the franchise created by billionaire philanthropist George Lucas. For anyone living under a rock this past year, Lucas sold the franchise to Disney for an obscene amount of money and decided to donate ALL of it to educational charities - Wow, and you thought Zuckerburg was a saint for only taking a dollar for his 2013 salary and bonuses for flying the Millennium Facebook!

Well Mr. L, we salute you and hope that Disney takes the reins and does what everyone expects: makes an awesome amusement park so we can finally fly in spaceships! Thank you for being one of the strongest creative forces that our generation has ever known. You are definitely amongst the stars in our book, and we are sure we're not alone! May the Fourth be with you!

We provided after-school snacks, art supplies, hands-on art activities, and lessons on keeping the world green. Check out the link below for all of our pictures from the event!

Proprietary CMS’s are developed by a private team of developers with the intention of creating a customizable solution for specific clients needs. However, this “one-size fits most” approach has a wide range of pitfalls that many people are simply not aware of.  Not only does a proprietary CMS lack any developer community support, but often restricts you from owning and having complete control of your own web site.

In most cases, custom CMS’s often have a small team of developers that are tasked with simply creating the CMS, without a dedicated team to the CMS’s enhancements and/or security.

Come join us this Earth Day (Monday, April 22nd, at 1pm) for our ribbon cutting at the Milagro Center (695 Auburn Ave., Delray Beach, FL 33444). Refreshments will be served, and you can have a chance to learn about one of our favorite clients: The Milagro Center. The Central Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce will be doing the ribbon cutting at 1pm, and afterwards our team from GGS will stay behind to teach the kids about Earth Day and the environment, and provide coloring activities.

Prior to the ribbon cutting, Assurance Power Systems (another GGS client) has generously offered to help out by donating and installing mulch on the Center's playground. This Earth Day beautification, education, and ribbon cutting has something for everyone!

"What should I implement into my site?" is a common question that I am asked. Obviously this will vary by industry, but there's a cost/benefit analysis that you will need to consider before jumping into anything. While social networking links are a must (if you actively socially market), there are many other items one can include on a website.

Website add-ons go by many names: widgets, plugins, components etc. Each of these add-ons involve some sort of script to enhance your website. Many of these items allow your website to have "Web 2.0" functionality (the fancy buzzword that describes interactive websites).

Your website is a key marketing tool these days and the virtual brochure of the 21st century. These days, anyone can look like a Fortune 500 business on the web - without spending a fortune.
The latest buzzword being thrown around is “Web 2.0.” In short, going from a basic html website to Web 2.0 is like trading in a megaphone for a cell phone – your audience can communicate back with you. These days, companies need to focus on price, quality and delivery. A website that properly allows for “user feedback” can address each of these concerns:

Malware, hackers and phishing, oh My!

H1N1 is a walk in the park compared to identity theft. If you are like me, a significant portion of your life is on your computer. Hopefully by now, we all have basic security features in place (and we have our operating systems constantly reminding us about updates). The fact remains that there are more viruses today than ever - literally. That coupled with the fact that identity theft is one of the fastest growing crimes, makes it quite clear that we all have our personal information at risk. So with the odds stacked up against you, how can we move into 2010 with confidence? The answer is an ounce of prevention, and a pound of common sense.
