Project Overview
The City of Greenacres hired Green Group Studio to design and develop a website for its Centennial Celebration, creating a central hub for events, history, and community engagement surrounding the city’s 100-year milestone.
Website Design & Branding
The website design was built around the City’s Centennial branding, extending their logo into a cohesive digital experience that felt both celebratory and modern. The layout emphasizes clarity, accessibility, and visual storytelling, helping residents and visitors easily explore events and information.
Interactive Timeline Experience
An interactive, animated timeline was developed to highlight the history of the City of Greenacres, allowing users to explore key milestones in an engaging and visually dynamic way.
Event & Banner Management System
The site includes a flexible event and banner system that allows the City to easily manage featured content. Scheduled banners with start and unpublish dates enable automated promotion of upcoming events without constant manual updates.
ADA Accessibility & Compliance
Accessibility was an important consideration for this public-facing website. The platform was developed with accessibility best practices in mind and includes integration with AccessiBe to enhance usability for a wider range of users.
As a government-related initiative, the website aligns with Title II ADA considerations and supports improved accessibility through a combination of design decisions and automated tools. Green Group Studio also provides additional accessibility support, including guidance on WCAG standards, manual review, and document remediation.
